What’s on the work order
Four lines cover most of what a house needs.
From a dripping valve to a line under the foundation, this is the work Moore Faith Plumbing does across Edmond and the north Oklahoma City metro.
Leaks & repairs
The drip, the stain on the ceiling, the pipe that finally let go. Found, fixed and tested.
Fixtures & remodels
Faucets, toilets, tubs and showers installed square, sealed and working the way they should.
Hot water & hard water
Water heaters that keep up, and help with the mineral scale central Oklahoma water leaves behind.
Drains, sewer & under the slab
Slow drains, root-filled sewer lines and the leaks red clay likes to cause under a slab.

Local knowledge
Red dirt, hard water and blue northers.
Plumbing in central Oklahoma has its own set of problems. Knowing them is half of fixing them.
Red clay
Central Oklahoma’s red clay swells when wet and shrinks in a dry summer. Slabs shift, and the water and drain lines under them take the strain.
Hard water
Edmond blends Arcadia Lake water, Garber-Wellington well water and water bought from Oklahoma City, so scale shows up differently from street to street.
Blue northers
On February 16, 2021 Oklahoma City fell to −14°F. Pipes in exterior walls, attics and garages are the ones that split when an arctic front comes through.
Homes of every age
From houses near downtown Edmond with cast-iron drains and galvanized lines to new construction plumbed in PEX, each calls for a different repair.

Straight answers
Plumbing questions, answered.
Where is the main water shut-off in an Edmond or Oklahoma City home?
Most homes here have two places to stop the water: the city meter box near the street or curb, and a house shut-off valve where the water line enters the home, often in the garage, a utility closet near the water heater, or a small box in the ground near the foundation.
Why are slab leaks common in central Oklahoma?
Central Oklahoma’s red clay soil swells when it is wet and shrinks when it dries out, so a concrete slab and the pipes beneath it are always being pushed and pulled a little. Over years, that movement and the wear it causes can open a leak in a water line under the floor.
Is the water in Edmond hard?
Yes, Edmond water is generally moderately hard to hard, and it varies by neighborhood and season. The city blends surface water from Arcadia Lake, groundwater from wells in the Garber-Wellington aquifer, and water purchased from Oklahoma City, and each source has a different mineral content.
At what temperature do pipes freeze in Oklahoma?
Pipes are at real risk when the outside temperature drops to about 20°F or lower for several hours, and sooner where wind reaches the pipe. Lines in exterior walls, attics, crawl spaces and garages are the most exposed.
Why does my drain keep clogging?
A drain that clogs again and again has a cause that was never removed: buildup lining the pipe, a section that has sagged and holds water, roots in the sewer line, or a venting problem.
